Are there few dog breeds that are too dangerous to be a lovely pet?

Have a dog that goes out of the door at the first opportunity? Attacks little children at the slightest provocation; keeps on barking without any apparent reason when you feel like taking a nap.

So, without any doubt you have a problem dog.

But what is the reason behind such behavior: probably it was not trained properly or worse it had received inadequate or wrong training. Maybe the day to day routine of the dog is such that it does not get enough scope of having fun. After all, the dog is an animal that from its early jungle days are used to live in a pack. Isolated and confined live is not good for dog’s temperament.

A dog’s behavioral problem can be result of any one or a combination of the above reasons.

But here some pet owners might point out that some dog breeds are predisposed to be problem dog and always grows up to be a terror, no matter how good the training is or how fun filled cozy environment is provided to him. And they will not have dearth of supporters as now-a-days it has almost become fashionable to mark certain dog breeds as problematic, unruly, disobedient breed.

But in my opinion before marking a breed as difficult and problematic we should be more careful and first examine the idea, may be the idea that certain breeds are prone to be unruly and disobedient may prove to be wrong scientifically.

It is known fact; there has not been any unwelcome genetic transformation in dogs world which transformed dogs of certain breeds into dangerous and ferocious animal.

So with the absence of such transformation there is no reason left other than neglect (and cruelty at times) on the part of the care givers that could turn a dog into a dangerously aggressive beast, which hurts people at the drop of a hat.

Maybe the breeds that are being marked as bad are just a bit different from other breeds in that they probably require slight different kind of approach of training or more attention and love in their day-to-day life.

Instead what they are getting is bad name even euthanasia at certain places. The problem that could have been solved with a better approach in training and rearing is being avoided by not accepting these breeds as pets. It is not something the best friends of our’s expect from us.
